Domain Name Registration - $9.95/Year

Registering your domain has never been easier. Our bulk search box will allow you to search and order as many domains as you'd like. The wholesale price of $9.95 per year is our standard price here at JDHOST.com. While many competitors are still charging $35 per year, we've used our partnership with Tucows to bring our prices down. These are the exact same domain registrations you would get from Network Solutions at only a fraction of the cost.

By viewing the comparison chart below, you can get an idea of the savings you'll enjoy. Remember, these are savings for just one single domain. If you are registering multiple domains, the savings could be tremendous.

Which Domain Should I Buy?

In order to help you select the right TLD (Top-Level Domain), here is a brief description of each one we carry.

  • .com This type of domain is for commercial use and is typically the choice for businesses.
  • .net This type of domain is often used by networking companies such as telephone companies.
  • .org This type of domain is often used by nonprofit organizations.
  • .us This type of domain is reserved for use by citizens or businesses located in America.
  • .info Anyone can apply for a .info name for any use. There is a two-year minimum registration term.
  • .biz Anyone can apply for a .biz name for any use. There is a two-year minimum registration term.

On average, it takes registrants 33 lookups to get the .com they want. If you're having trouble finding one, don't get discouraged. We provide a lot of great alternatives for everyone. If you're located in America, a .US might be perfect for you. If you're located elsewhere, you might consider a .info or .biz.

Naming Tips

Here are a few things to keep in mind while selecting your domain name:

  • Is it easy to spell? You'll want to keep the spelling as simple as possible.
  • Is it easy to pronounce? If you tell someone your domain name, will they understand what you're saying?
  • Are there numbers in it? How will the user know whether to type "4", "four", or "for"?
  • Are you using a hyphen? If someone forgets to enter the hyphen, they may end up at a completely different website.
  • Is it easy to remember? The whole purpose of domain names is to be easy to remember. This is why we use domains instead of ip addresses.

Domain Manager and WHOIS

After you've registered your domain, you'll have complete control over it. By using our domain manager, you can modify anything from contacts to nameservers. To login, have your username/password ready and click the link below.

The WHOIS - Online Query will allow you to get detailed information on registered domains. Your domain will not show up with WHOIS until after DNS propagation has occurred.
